About Us

DevPact (Development Impact) is a development consultancy specialising in the design and implementation of short- and long-term projects in agribusiness development, agricultural trade; climate smart agriculture; climate finance and agricultural research & analysis. Using the “market systems development” approach, we provide rigorous analytical value chain research and analysis allowing us to develop informed recommendations for implementation by our development partners. We have expertise both in commercial agribusiness value chains as well in the development sector working with farmers and SME agribusinesses to facilitate market access in national, regional, and international markets. Our staff and associate consultants have been supporting projects in East, West and Southern Africa over the past twenty years and have vast experience in facilitating private sector led agribusiness development in these geographies.

Both in design and implementation we aspire to creating impactful and sustainable change that improves the livelihoods of farmers, understanding that their challenges are systemic in nature, and require systemic solutions that bring together both public and private sector players within national, regional, and global value chains. We do this by working with both private and public sector actors to ensure the sustainability of our interventions.
